The CPL policy applies to prior learning not covered by credit-by-exam options (AP, IB, CLEP, etc.). To qualify, students must be enrolled in a QU degree or certificate program.

Credit for Prior Learning:

• Appears as transfer credit and counts toward transfer limits.

• Does not impact GPA or satisfy residency or graded credit requirements.

• Cannot duplicate existing credit or be awarded for learning acquired after matriculation.

• Is limited to 25% of programs 30 credits or fewer (max 7.5 credits) and no more than 12 credits total.

• Graduate programs that do not accept transfer credit cannot award CPL.

Credit is granted based on verified documentation submitted to Admissions or through ACE or military transcripts (JST/CCAF) reviewed with academic program directors.
